This has been one of my favourite Victoria clothing stores but I post this to warn others that their return policy is not clearly indicated. I returned an itchy wool sweater the next day for refund. At the time of purchase, the salesperson was aware that I was unsure about whether it might be too itchy and at no time did she make sure I realized that I would only have store credit or exchange available for this expensive purchase. It does not work to tell me this morning - when I returned the sweater - that the terms of the return policy are in the receipt (which is only available by email only). Please Still Life have this policy clearly displayed at checkout.

One of the best clothing stores in Victoria. All my favorite brands like Minimum, Le Bon and Taion. I try to visit every time I’m in town. Staff is very helpful and never pushy.

This is the best store! During Covid I ordered a new pair of jeans. It was about 5 days in and I hadn’t received them in the mail yet. I got a call one afternoon by a woman who was on her way to hand deliver them to me. I have never had anyone do anything that nice, especially a busy store just trying to keep up with the new ways people are shopping during a pandemic. Outstanding, above and beyond service! A+++. Life shopper over here!

I’ve made several online purchases with Still Life. Their site was easy to use, all of the orders shipped quickly, everything fit well (and looks great), but what really made my day was a sincere, handwritten thank you note from the staff. It’s been a tough year for a lot of people and that small act of kindness meant a lot to me.

Edit: this post was meant for Still Life for Him, but hey, I’m sure they’re just as great for the gals as they are the guys.

Rude customer service, bought a pair of shoes online, came as store displayed ones with scratches and creases everywhere. Customer service refused to offer any help except asking me to "topy the soles to protect them" Isn't that the store's responsibility to protect the shoes and checking the conditions before sending them out?

I mostly shop online now for convenience, but I LOVE going into Still Life. Everyone who's helped me there has been SO sweet and helpful. I love their commitment to slow fashion.
