Une employée méprisante, malpolie et pas du tout professionnelle. Elle semblait, de plus, responsable d'équipe....changez vite car j'ai pratiquement reçu, le monsieur avant moi aussi, mon ticket à la figure. Je faisais de plus, l'effort de parler néerlandais mais elle, par contre, n'a pas sorti un mot en français. Quel super service client. Signes distinctifs: la dame avait un tissu rose sur la tête. Peut-être qu'elle a du mal à assumer..... Change vite de métier, en tout cas. Ça risque de mal finir

Sports Direct is de grootste sportwinkel in het centrum van Leuven. De gelijkvloerse verdieping van deze zaak bevat een ruim aanbod aan schoenen en vrijetijdskledij, terwijl in de kelder specifieke kleding en -artikelen ingedeeld per sporttak zijn terug te vinden. Wel komt de indeling nogal chaotisch over en kent het personeel een groot verloop. Men moet dus geluk hebben indien men een vraag stelt aan een medewerker.

Het ruime aanbod en de scherpe prijzen vormen de voornaamste troeven van Sports Direct. Hiernaast apprecieer ik ook hun beleid om bij de schoenen beide exemplaren in de rek te leggen. Men kan dus rustig passen, zonder steeds het tweede exemplaar aan een medewerker te moeten vragen.

Zeer klantonvriendelijk!
Ik was met mijn driejarige dochter aan het shoppen in de winkel, tot ze plots zegt dat ze naar toilet moet. Op die leeftijd moet je niet te lang wachten om dan te gaan. Ik vraag of ik met haar naar toilet kan en dat was geen enkel probleem. Er wordt een andere winkelbediende bij geroepen die me de weg zou wijzen. Ze zei me dat het alleen voor mijn dochter was. Dat was voor mij natuurlijk geen probleem, dat was ook de vraag. Achter de kassa wordt een deur geopend en ik word verzocht daar te blijven, terwijl mijn DRIEJARIGE dochter alleen mee het magazijn in moest, richting toilet. Ik val compleet uit de lucht: men kan toch niet verwachten dat je een kind zomaar mee geeft met een onbekende, in een onbekende ruimte waar je zelf niet eens toegang toe hebt! Na een hele discussie heb ik uiteindelijk de winkel verlaten, onder het “oh my god” geroep van het jonge, anderstalige en onbekwame personeel. Ik was gedegouteerd.

Sinds wanneer is het toegestaan om zonder toestemming tussen mensen hun rugtas te gaan?
Vandaag is mijn zoon & vriend naar de winkel gegaan om een nieuwe hoodie te zoeken.
Hij had 2 pullen mee om te passen en moest zijn rugzak afgeven voor het passen? ( eerder nooit moeten doen) Tijdens het passen is mevrouw aan haar collega aan het vertellen welke kleren mijn zoon &co aanhadden en dat ze mogelijk zouden stelen. Na het passen komt hij terug ziet hij dat zijn rits van zijn tas geopend werd. Tijdens het verlaten van de winkel ook sokken & broek moeten tonen. Ik snap dat jullie controleren, maar sinds wanneer is het toegestaan om in andermans spullen, kinderen of niet, doet er niet toe, in te zitten en te kijken zonder toestemming nadat JULLIE hen vragen om het af te geven voor het passen. Het is niet gepast punt. Laat dit duidelijk zijn dat dit niet ok is. Wees blij dat er geen klacht aankomt voor mevrouw. (Als ik wil kan er zelfs een beschrijving bij van de medewerker maar laten we optimistisch blijven.)

This establishment has an outlet store ambiance.

The store can be somewhat chaotic and confusing based on my experience. However, if you take the time to look around, you can find some excellent deals.
It is a large store, so you will find a wide variety of items for various sports. It may not be the most comfortable store, but the staff was very friendly and helpful.

If you have other options, you'd be better off shopping *absolutely anywhere else*. The kind of experience I've had with them has left me surprised that they are still in business (and honestly a little hopeful that they close down soon so as to not cheat other customers).

I say this for two reasons:
Firstly, if you purchase anything, you're locked in forever. From the minute the payment leaves your hand, your money becomes theirs.
Secondly, if you even *think* about returning a product, prepare for a public altercation with an adamant cashier and an outright rude manager who could care less about your consumer rights and more about keeping their money despite faults in the product.

The story behind this:
I purchased a pair of waterproof shoes at this location because it's the Belgian rainy season. Everything confirmed that this shoe was waterproof, from the Sports Direct website, the shoe name, the shoebox, the store shelves, and even the employee who took the shoebox from the stockroom. Lo and behold, while walking in the streets that are so often damp with the rain, my socks became wet -- the day after purchase.
Any logical person would reason that the "waterproof" marked shoes were not functioning properly, hence a defective product. Naturally, I went back to the store to return the shoes because the Sports Direct website says that orders placed in person will be "fully refunded" in the event of faulty products.
I was greeted by a cashier who saw my return and said, without even hearing my explanation, that the store categorically refuses to give refunds. Being a naive consumer who believes that businesses will actually uphold ethical standards, I was confused and explained to her that the waterproofing did not hold up and that the website policy is that faulty purchases will be returned and fully refunded. She insisted that "we are an offline store" and the policies don't apply.
She then proceeded to argue with me that the best they can do is exchange the product for store credit (which is utterly useless because I no longer trust the labeling on their products). I told her so, and she proceeded to call the manager, calling me (to my face) a "difficult" customer. The manager refused to come discuss in person, and instead was called up on the phone.
The manager was annoyed on the phone, and was talking at about a yelling volume while insisting that the shoes are not actually supposed to be waterproof... he also said "for the last time, I will tell you that you cannot receive a refund" and proceeded to pass judgement on how I made a poor decision by choosing to get shoes from a more reliable store. I explained to him how the waterproof marking was either misleading or the product was defective, and he responded that they're essentially doing me a favor by letting me change out the shoes and that the product was in no way supposed to actually keep water out even if you're walking in a drizzle.
I'm at a loss here -- when was common sense lost along the way?

I've been in many stores to buy shoes in many different countries, and not a single one has had customer service that fails to acknowledge their error, is abrasive, and makes you feel that your choices have been mistakes.
Save yourself from having to go through the same experience, and steer clear.

Abominabele klantenservice. Onvriendelijk en een eenvoudige poging om een zwembrilletje te kopen faalt nadat ik aan de kassa tevergeefs een kwartier wacht en er aan andere klanten prioriteit gegeven wordt terwijl de caissière aan mijn kassa kleren van de pashokjes (die leeg zijn) gaat opruimen

Pretty decent selection of the regular stuff from a few brands. The store is very cluttered which makes it a bit hard to find things. Some staff members are very helpful others not so much. Only one guy working the register with a long queue and no intention to open a second from the girl hanging cloths just next to it...
