Rob Sampson runs an amazing shop full of wonderful jewels and very unique and beautiful antiques. I just received the most amazing gold Elliptical Rolex watch. It fits perfectly and it was packaged well and presented in a stunning case. Rob’s attention to detail is second to none and if you go on his website and read about each product, the level of detail you will come away with is unreal. I think he is a historian as well as a gemiologist. He is easy to deal with and very fair in his pricing. I am planning to buy a lot more from Samosons.ca. I just have to share what a lovely and unexpected experience I had as I popped in while walking the ave. I had a few questions about selling estate jewelry and Brittany was so incredibly generous with her time and knowledge. The curated selection of jewelry and other antiques in store really blew me away too. If you are in the market for vintage pieces make sure you go! Im gonna dream about the jewels in the case and hope one day I am back for one!

I love this store! Robert has exquisite taste and has such an interesting collection of unique quality items. It is worth the drive from Vancouver. There is a lovely little cafe next door and a great place to walk by the beach in Boundary Bay a couple of blocks away. It is a perfect excursion out of the city and perhaps you will bring home a treasure.

Sampsons Antiques Co. is the most beautifully, knowledgeably, internationally curated selections of antiquities from all era’s. Also an incredible range of wonderful jewellery/time pieces of all shapes & sizes - cared for as old & new items! Not to mention the wealth of knowledge by the Owner, who is a certified gemologist. Love the appraisals that come with most pieces!
Having frequented this amazing shop on many, many occasions, over the years, I always know that I am in the most honest & genuinely interested hands, with the Owners.
Every item is well looked after and fairly priced. The showroom is so amazingly and creatively set out, which demonstrates the Owners care & deep interest in their profession. Don’t really see that level of care around these days. Really appreciate & respect this.
It has been, and is, a great joy to spend time in this gorgeous destination, located in an equally gorgeous part of the Lower Mainland, right by the beach! Just perfect! I am a delighted 1st-time customer of Sampsons, in Oak Bay, Victoria. My buying journey began when I bought a large tanzanite ring and spoke to Robert about sizing it down to fit much smaller for my hand, and he informed me it couldn’t be done and keep the rings integrity. He offered me a full refund of the amount I had e-transferred, but I decided to take a partial refund because I wanted to support his business after his prompt and ethical approach to me as a customer. I had my eyes on this stunning 10ct garnet, a stone I had viewed on his website. I bought it and was refunded the difference as the tanzanite cost a bit more. He promptly mailed me my purchase and it came with authentic documents and was exactly what I thought I was buying. A gorgeous-looking garnet and significant to me. I would highly recommend this business. For me and others, they are setting the standard high for quality. I will be glad to buy from them in the future and know that they sell securely and supply authentic products.
